As someone who grew up in Yaak as a child and still calls it home decades later, it was very important to me and my family to do a little bit to give back to our community and help the members of the Yaak Valley Forest Council. These friends and neighbors of ours work passionately and tirelessly to protect what is, to my family, the most special place on earth.
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. My favorite things in life don’t cost any money. It’s really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time.
Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.
